When is a “discount” not a discount?

Taking our lead again from the TNT real estate blog, today’s entry talks about a seller in North Tacoma who is offering a “discount” on their home if they get an offer in the next week. 

Phrasing a price reduction in such terms reveals a common misunderstanding that most sellers have about the market.  In their eyes, they are offering a great “deal” on their home as an incentive.  The truth is, there is no such thing as a “discount” in real estate.  Read the rest of this entry »
